Where the numbers come from

Every figure on these pages comes from the company's own careers site, which we read at least once a week. We keep the job title, location, pay range when the company lists one, the date we first saw the opening, and the link to apply. We do not copy job descriptions. Some openings come from a company's own post in a public hiring thread; those link to the post.

What the rankings mean

Companies are ranked by how many new openings they posted in the last 30 days. The green badge shows the last 7 days. Open jobs is the number of openings live today. A company appears only while it has at least one open job.

Company facts

Industry, headquarters, founding year and the lists a company appears on come from public sources: the company's own site, Y Combinator's public company directory, the published portfolio pages of a16z and Sequoia, and Wikidata. Each fact links to where it came from on the company page when we have it.

Funding and going public

A company's funding round is the most recent one we can find in its filings with the SEC, on its own site or in other public sources, and Last raised is the amount and month from its latest SEC filing about raising money. A company is on the IPO watch list when it filed with the SEC to go public in the last 12 months, or when it is a private company at Series C or later, or one that raised $50M or more in the last three years, with at least two open jobs of the kind companies often fill before they list, like SEC reporting and investor relations. Neither is a prediction: a filing can be withdrawn and an opening can have other reasons, so read both as signs, not promises. These lists are here to help you find a job, not to guide what you invest in.

How often this updates

Job counts refresh daily. Company facts refresh weekly. A page stops being listed in search the day its last opening closes and returns when new openings appear.
